A photograph of a Jefferson Davis statue, sculpted in bronze by Augustus Lukeman for the state of Mississippi and given to the National Statuary Hall in 1931. Davis, an American political figure in the nineteenth century, was the President of the short-lived Confederate States of America.

The photograph, as a work of the United States Federal Government, is in the public domain worldwide (see copyright). Copyright information [4] states that "Photographs from the records of the Architect of the Capitol may be used for scholarly or educational purposes."
