X-ray composite based on Jean Metzinger's, 1914-15, Soldat jouant aux échecs (Soldier at a Game of Chess, Le Soldat à la partie d'échecs), oil on canvas, 81.3 x 61 cm (32 x 24 in.), Smart Museum of Art, University of Chicago. Gift of John L. Strauss, Jr. in memory of his father John L. Strauss, Accession No.: 1985.21. This derivative work, according to the U.S. Copyright Act of 1976, Section 101, is based upon a pre-existing art reproduction, transformed and adapted, which as a whole, represents the original work of authorship signed J. Metzinger (lower right). This derivative work was composed by Adam Schwertner, Stephen Thomas, and Brian Callender.
