Description
English: Self-portrait of Jean Huber seen from 3/4 back, bust. Is doing the portrait of Voltaire. Turned his head to look at the viewer. With his right hand, he paints. Wear a light gray coat and a cap of the same color draped over your head. The portrait of Voltaire wearing a long curly wig is already well advanced. In the back of the painter, in the foreground, a hawk. It recalls the first of the painter's two passions: hunting. To the right of the bird, a violin is placed flat, in representation of his second passion, musical.
