| Description |
English: The picture is a Greek Catholic icon depicting the prophet Isaiah with an angel who anoints his lips with fire to spread the words of God. The icon was painted in the end of the 18th century as part of the iconostasis of the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Hajdúdorog, Hungary. Isaiah's icon is placed on the third tier of the iconostasis, the so called Prophets tier. This icon is the second painting from the right.
Magyar: A kép Izajás/Ézsaiás próféta görög katolikus ikonját ábrázolja, amelyen egy angyal tűzzel telíti meg a próféta ajkait, hogy így bátran terjeszthesse az Úr szavait. Az ikont a 18. század végén festették, a hajdúdorogi görög katolikus székesegyház ikonosztázára. Ézsaiás ikonját az ikonosztáz harmadik sorában, az úgynevezett Próféta sorban találhatjuk. Ez az ikon a sorban jobbról a második festmény. |
