Summary

Description
English: A spoken word speech on the negative effects of the IMF

Transcript:

The IMF. and World Bank.

Can you help us with your advice and power?

Sure, but there’s a catch.

Free trade.

But it’s not a fair trade!

Dollar Dollar Bills, Y’all.

But, Look at those bodies fall.

They aren’t numbers on a spreadsheet, they’re people made of blood and meat!

Denied clean water - Denied medical attention.

These struggling countries are stuck in a global economic detention!

That’s the result of the IMF’s bad intentions.

Not to mention, 42% of World Bank employees thought that the people they were helping thought vaccines were “risky”.

In reality only ELEVEN PERCENT of Nairobians thought that.

Haitians trapped in globalization

Open your eyes, get the realization that WE have to stop this exploitation.

They are pushing for private industrialization but the government can’t afford the infrastructure to sustain its population.

We can’t give loans, can’t keep up this lending because it keeps hurting countries spending to pay us back.

Profiting off the suffering is wrong, but a catch free loan with no interest can help make the world’s economy strong.

Thank you.
