Description
English: A 44-years old gravid female with previous 6 children was diagnosed with carcinoma in situ of cervix (early stage cancer of womb). So total removal of uterus (womb) with embryo in situ was considered to be inevitable for future health of the lady. The embryo is still alive. The author of this image states that it shows a embryo at 10 weeks gestation (i.e. from LMP), which is 8 weeks after fertilisation.
日本語: 子宮摘出手術時に撮影された妊娠第10週の胎児。この10週とは、受精後の期間ではなく最終月経日からの期間（画像著者のコメントより）。 母体の女性は、今までに6人の子供を生んだことのある44才の女性。しかし妊娠中に子宮頸部上皮内癌（子宮ガンの初期状態）であると診断され、母体の生命を守るためには、子宮の全摘出をするほかなくなった。この画像はそのときに撮影されたもの。
Русский: У 44-летней беременной женщины, матери шести детей, был диагностирован преинвазивный рак шейки матки. Ради будущего здоровья женщины было решено произвести полное удаление матки. Эмбрион на фотографии, находящийся внутри амниотического мешка, всё ещё жив. Срок беременности - 10 недель с первого дня последней менструации, т.е. приблизительно 8 недель с момента зачатия.
