Summary

Description
English: Samples of Hook Mountain Basalt taken from the base of the lowest flow. The rock is extremely vesicular, and many of the cavities are filled with secondary minerals (amygdaloidal texture). These samples were retrieved from the northernmost section of Third Watchung Mountain, along the border of Wayne and Pompton Lakes in New Jersey.
