Description
Deutsch: Diese allegorische Szene zeigt Homer, einen Arzt und den Gott Mercurius, der das von Homer beschriebene Kraut Moly hält. Die Flügel an Kopf und Fußknöcheln des Mercurius wurden in mittelalterlicher Umdeutung zu grätenartigen Auswüchsen und der eigenartig hochgehobene Mantel könnte auf Wagenlenker in voller Fahrt zurückgehen. Weiter bemerkenswert sind die hier ausnahmsweise nicht getilgten Genitalien. Diese Miniatur ist eine Kopie einer Vorlage aus dem 6. Jahrhundert (Medicina antiqua, Cod. Vind. 93. Ausschnitt aus Blatt 61 verso)
