Description
English: The Connecticut River during the Flood of 1936, looking toward the Holyoke Dam from the air, with the County Bridge, location of the Vietnam Memorial Bridge today, in the foreground. To the lower right Mater Dolorosa Parish and the old Polish neighborhood of Ward 1 can be seen, with many of those buildings later razed during urban renewal in the 1970s.
