Description
English: Ambassador Kirk congratulated Minister Akamatsu on his new position and expressed his strong desire to work together constructively. Key among issues discussed was the shared commitment to achieving an ambitious and balanced conclusion to the WTO Doha Development Agenda. Regarding bilateral trade, Ambassador Kirk reiterated the importance the Obama Administration places on securing access to the Japanese beef market in a matter consistent to international standards.
