Description
Exterior (shutters) of The Garden of Earthly Delights. Dargestellt ist der Zustand der Erdkugel am Ende des dritten Schöpfungstages, wo die Trennung zwischen Licht und Finsternis, Himmel und Erde, Wasser und Land bereits vollzogen ist (Genesis 1,1-13). Der Maler sieht die Erdoberfläche als Scheibe, integriert diese aber schon in eine Kugel, wobei der untere Teil mit Wasser gefüllt ist.
