English: Hermann Walter Bion (1830–1909) was a reformed theologian and pedagogue from Switzerland who founded the first holiday colony for sickly children in 1876 and initiated a worldwide holiday colony movement in order to ensure a direct contact of children from cities who came from poor families to nature and fresh air.
