English: Heðin Mortensen has been Mayor of Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, since 2005. In November 2012 he broka all previous records by getting 2637 personal votes at the elections for the city council of Tórshavn. He was elected for the Social Democratic (Javnaðarflokkurin), which got 4599 votes and 7 of 13 members. 11.135 people voted for the elections in Tórshavn. Mr. Mortensen has earlier been a member of the Faroese Parliament (Løgtingið) from 1998 to 2004 for Sambandsflokkurin (Union Party). He was President of the Faroese Confederation of Sports (ÍSF) from 1980 to 2008. Føroyskt: Heðin Mortensen er borgarstjóri í Havn, valdur inn fyri Javnaðarflokkin. Hann hevur verið borgarstjóri síðan 2005. Á býráðsvalinum í november 2012 slóð hann øll met við persónligum atkvøðum, tá hann fekk 2637 persónligar atkvøður. Listi C, sum er Javnaðarflokkurin, fekk 7 býráðslimir valdar og kundi harvið stýra einsamallur, men borgarstjórin valdi tó at fara í eitt breitt samstarv við allar flokkarnar, tað vóru fýra flokkar/listar, ið fingu umboðan í Tórshavnar Býráð. Heðin hevur verið býráðslimur í Tórshavnar Býráð síðan 1973. Hann var forseti í Ítróttarsambandi Føroya (ÍSF) frá 1980 til 2008. Heðin hevur eisini verið løgtingslimur frá 1998 til 2004, tað var fyri Sambandsflokkin. Hann skifti flokk og gjørdist limur í Javnaðarflokkinum, tá tað stóð honum í boðið at gerast borgarstjóri í Havn eftir býráðsvalið í 2004. |
