| Description |
English: An armed Chinese policeman stands guard from a police vehicle with a Hawk Industries Type 97 shotgun in front of the Dayan Pagoda South Square; the face of the bystander in front of the vehicle has been censored in respect of their privacy. The side of the white police vehicle reads "武警" (Wǔjǐng) meaning "armed police". The "Dayan" or "Giant Wild Goose" Pagoda is not in the frame, and is a Tang Dynasty-era Buddhist pagoda. This site was selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on June 22, 2014, and attracts many tourists and visitors to Xi'an. |
