Description

Captain HAROLD T. CAWLEY (37), M.P. for Heywood Division, and eldest son of Sir F. Cawley, M.P., of the Manchester Regt., and A.D.C. to General Douglas in Egypt, was killed in action in the Dardanelles on September 23rd, 1915. He was first elected Member for Heywood Division in 1910, with a majority of 1,059.
