English: Halite drilling core sample, taken in Nong Bok, Khammouan, Laos. The evaporites of the Nong Bok Formation are dated as Upper Cretaceous according to palynological data (cf. Zhong et al., 2012, Acta Geoscientica Sinica (CAGS Bulletin) 33(3):323-330, doi:10.3975/cagsb.2012.03.06)
