Description
English: The animation presents Typhoon Haiyan (also known as Super Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines) from 18:57 PST (10:57 UTC) on November 7 to 09:57 PST (01:57 UTC) on November 8 in 2013. These enhanced infrared images from the Japan Meteorological Agency’s MTSAT-1R satellite show the typhoon at peak intensity and making landfall over the islands of Samar, Leyte, and Cebu in the Philippines.
