Description
English: Assembly of Gantry type, High-Performance Positioning System, including (from bottom up):
  • BASE - (4x) leveling mounts, (1x) steel weldment frame, (4x) isolation pads, (1x) granite base, (2x) granite risers and (4x) hard stops rigidly mounted to the (2x) granite risers.
  • X AXIS - (2x) parallel axes, X1 and X2, each includes (1x) brushless linear motor, (1x) recirculating rail with (2x) sliding pucks, (1x) encoder and (1x) cable carrier, rigidly mounted on the (2x) granite risers + (2x) moving plates, X1 and X2, each mounted respectively to the (2x) pucks of X1 and X2 recirculating rails.
  • Y AXIS - (1x) cross axis Y base, made of light, hollow, Aluminum beam, mounted on the (2x), X1, X2, slides (possibly with flexure joints to eliminate Cleavage), (1x) linear motor cross axis Y, rigidly mounted on the Aluminum, cross axis, Y base, including (1x) brushless linear motor, (2x) recirculating rails, each with (2x) sliding pucks, (1x) encoder and (1x) cable carrier + (1x) Y axis moving plate mounted to the (4x) Y sliding pucks.
  • Z Axis - (1x) Ball screw stage, mounted to the Y moving plate
