Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Sikorsky HO3S-1 (BuNo 123129) from Helicopter Utility Squadron HU-1 Det.15 "Pacific Fleet Angels" aboard the aircraft carrier USS Boxer (CVA-21). HU-1 Det.15 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 12 (CVG-12) aboard the Boxer for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 3 March to 11 October 1954. Note the nickname of the helicopter: "Buzz Saw".
This helicopter appeared as a rescue helicopter in the 1954 movie "The Bridges at Toko-Ri".
