Summary

Description The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Wanderer (I74) off the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia (USA), on 5 October 1942. This ship underwent a major conversion to a "long range escort" beginning in January 1943. Wanderer' pennant number had been changed from "D74" to "I74" in May 1940 to conform to alterations of identities for RN warships.
