Such pieces are actually much more typical of amber as found, only a small percentage of specimens contain major inclusions or are of jewelry quality. Though they have little scientific or monetary value, they can be fascinating to view under a stereo microscope or in a stereoscopic (3D) image. Several such pieces and a small stereo microscope would make a great present for a scientifically minded youngster or even an adult hobbyist. |
