Summary

Description The U.S. Navy Grumman XF4F-3 Wildcat prototype (BuNo 0383) during flight testing, circa April 1939. This aircraft had originally been the XF4F-2 (with rounded wings and tail) and was rebuilt into the XF4F-3. It was finally written off on 16 December 1940.
