Summary

Description
English: Alec Graham (left), Henry E. Newton (centre) and Ebenezer Teichelmann near the Hermitage, after their first crossing of Harper Saddle, February 1905. Photograph taken by Michael Collett. The man on the left is identified as R . S. Low in the NLNZ catalogue, but this contradicted by the inscription on the verso "Alex Graham, Rev Newton, Dr Teichelmann. Photo by Michael Collett approx 1907", by the appearance of both Graham (similarly dressed) and Low in a subsequent photo in the series, and by the caption of this photo in McKerrow (2005) Teichelmann, p 152. The photo is taken on 1 Feb 2005, after the first crossing of the Harper Pass and before they met Low at The Hermitage.
