| Description |
English: Goma, North-Kivu, DRC – On 14 October 2021, MONUSCO facilitated the airlift of a batch of scientific equipment, between Kinshasa and Goma, donated by the US Geological Survey department to Goma Volcanological Observatory (OVG). The equipment will help OVG improve its monitoring and understanding of the active volcanoes (Nyamulagira and Nyiragongo) located in the Virunga National Park, for a better disaster prevention. Ces instruments aideront l’OVG à améliorer sa surveillance et sa compréhension des volcans actifs (Nyamulagira et Nyiragongo) situés dans le parc national des Virunga pour une meilleure prévention des catastrophes.
