| Description |
Deutsch: Südansicht der Aussichtswarte am Gipfel des 884 m hohen Geschriebensteins, der der höchste Berg des Burgenlandes und von Westungarn ist. Der Mittelpunkt der Warte befindet sich genau am Schnittpunkt der Gemeindegrenzen der österreichischen Gemeinden Lockehaus (links im Hintergrund) und Rechnitz (Vordergrund), sowie der ungarischen Gemeinde Bozsok, Kreis Kőszeg (rechts im Hintergrund). Die Aussichtswarte wurde anstelle eines 1891 errichteten Holzturms („Arpád Turm“) 1913 von der Gemeinde Rechnitz erbaut. Initiator war der Steuernotar Ladislaus Gullner und als Baumeister fungierte der Rechnitzer Josef Varga. |
