The image is widely acknowledged -- in the Telegraph article, by the photographer (in a Guardian article), by Henri Cartier-Bresson, and elsewhere -- to be the photographer's greatest. If any one photograph of his deserves commentary, this is the one; given that this is the one, it requires illustration (via a JPEG of significantly lower resolution than its immediate source and others easily found on the web). |
