English: Photo of G. Andrew Rembert, senior College administrator, professor of philosophy, and former interim president of Washington & Jefferson College (W&J).

He holds a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University, an honours degree from Oxford University and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. Rembert and his wife, Bette, have three children. From 1991-2002, Rembert served as vice president of academic affairs and dean of W&J. In that position, he guided the complete revision of the college's academic curriculum and contributed to the Blueprint for Collaboration, which developed a shared vision for the cooperation between W&J and the city of Washington, Pennsylvania. Rembert was named executive vice president of the College in 2002 to direct development of the college's strategic plan for growth. On March 5, 2004, he was named interim President of W&J following the resignation of then-president Brian C. Mitchell.

Prior to working at W&J, Rembert served as vice president of the university, dean of academic affairs and professor of philosophy at St. Lawrence University. At Lewis & Clark College, he was vice president for academic affairs and dean of arts and sciences. At Colgate University, he served as assistant dean of the faculty, chair of the freshman core program and associate professor of philosophy.
