• The article is about a television programme, and is thus incredibly difficult to illustrate without using images from the programme concerned.

• The image is from one of the very few surviving clips of a missing serial from that programme, and is thus a valuable illustration for an article on that programme's missing episodes.

• The image is used for informative and illustrative purposes only and is not believed to detract from the production in any way.

Rationale for the fair use of this image in the article Fury from the Deep[edit]

I, Y|yukichigai, hitherto and forthwith posit that this image meets the Wikipedia Fair Use Criteria for use in the article Fury from the Deep for the following reasons:

1. It serves to visually identify the serial, thus providing basis for greater analysis and critical commentary of the episode.
2. It illustrates a principal character in the serial (Mr. Quill) in a manner that cannot be adequately replaced by a textual description.
3. While much of the serial is incomplete and survived only by tele-snaps, the image is taken from one of the few remaining motion clips of the episode, making useful piracy applications unlikely.
4. The image does not depict any controversial or surprising elements of the serial and in no way impedes the copyright holder's ability to profit from the work.
5. The probability of a free content replacement being found is unlikely bordering on impossible, given that it comes from a work of fiction from which very little material survives.
