English: The steam plumes of Frimmersdorf powerstation (left), Neurath powerstation (middle) and Niederaußem powerstation (right) rise through the cloud layer.
These clouds contain generally condensed water steam just like natural clouds. However, there is a certain amount of CO2 coming up from the powerstation which is invisible. Picture taken shortly after taking off at Cologne-Bonn Airport, Runway 14L and making a right turn, flying pretty exactly westwards. Aboard flight AB9250 to Mallorca, Registration D-ABBQ, looking northwards. Deutsch: Die Dampfwolken der Kraftwerke Frimmersdorf (links), Neurath (mitte) und Niederaußem (rechts) durchstoßen die Wolkenschicht.
Diese Wolken bestehen hauptsächlich aus kondensiertem Wasserdampf - genau wie natürliche Wolken. Allerdings bläst das Kraftwerk auch eine gewisse Menge CO2 in die Luft, das unsichbar ist. Aufgenommen kurz nach dem Start auf dem Flughafen Köln-Bonn Startbahn 14L und einer Rechtskurve auf westlichem Kurs. An Bord von Flug AB9250 nach Mallorca. Blickrichtung Norden. Ces nuages artificiels contiennent essentiellement de la vapeur d'eau condensée, tout comme les nuages naturels. Cependant leur température et peut-être d'autres caractéristiques physicochimiques (teneur en CO2 provenant de la centrale électrique ?) font qu'ils ne se sont pas immédiatement et entièrement fondus dans le nuage situé au dessus de ces centrales).
