Mercer: Franklin Leonard, Founder of the Black List on the #MeToo inflection Point

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we have to deal with a #MeToo me too movement situation when only 4% of the films made at major studios are directed by women. Those films define how we see women, what behavior we think is appropriate with regard to women, and I think that if we begin to change that root cause it will be far less likely that we have to deal with a lot of these behaviors. I think we’ll be better equipped to deal with these behaviors. And people in positions of authority can deal with them more swiftly and effectively than we do presently.

Our deep expertise, powerful insights, and real-world solutions help the people and organizations we serve take steps today to secure a better tomorrow.
