Deutsch: Frankfurt am Main: Zeil; Gebäude von links nach rechts: Grand Bazar, erbaut 1903-1905 vom Architekten Victor Horta (1851-1847), Palais Rothschild (1793–1797) und Schmoller (1900). Mit Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkriegs 1914 wurde der französische Name Grand Bazar obsolet und die Immobilie nebst Firmennama nunmehr politisch korrekt in Kaufhaus Hansa AG umbenannt. Als letzte große Baumaßnahme der Zeil vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg erfolgte in den Jahren 1937 und 1938 der Abriss des ehemaligen Grand Bazars an der Ecke zur Brönnerstraße, wo anschließend ein schmuckloser Neubau für das Kaufhaus Woolworth entstand. Das 1904 entstandene das Warenhaus Hermann Schmoller als ein Filialbetrieb, das Max Knopf (1857-1934) gehörte.
