Gebäude auf der rechten (südlichen) Straßenseite von rechts nach links:

  • Frankfurter Filiale des Modehauses Gebrüder Robinsohn (angeschnitten), die 1886 von den Hamburger Kaufleuten Robert und Jakob Robinsohn gegründet wurde; Der neobarocke Prachtbau wurde 1904–1905 vom Architekten Julius Lönholdt entworfen. 1927 übernahm die Nassaurische Landesbank diese Immobilie, nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg stand hier das sogenannte HAKO-Haus.
  • Büro- und Geschäftshaus Zeilpalast der Bauunternehmung Cohn & Kreh, 1908–1910 von den Architekten Josef Rindsfüßer und Martin Kühn
  • Textilkaufhaus Gebrüder Hoff, Neubau 1893–1896 von den Architekten Hermann Ritter und Th. Martin als großes Spezial-Haus für Seidenwaren, Kleiderstiffe, Samte, Jupons, Schleier und Bänder; Eckhaus zur Liebfrauenstraße, wie schon der Vorgängerbau genannt Liebfraueneck (Zum Liebfraueneck, Haus Liebfraueneck); Die traditionsreiche Firma feierte am 1. November 1900 ihr 75-jähriges Geschäftsjubiläum. Auf dem Dach des Gebäudes erkennt man das großes Werbeschild HOFF, die schmale Eckfassade trägt die Inschriften Gebrüder Hoff und Liebfraueneck (im Giebelaufsatz). Nach Tod des Seniorchefs Kommerzienrat Johann Georg Karl Hoff am 1. Februar 1905, Kriegsende und Inflation übernahm 1925 die Düsseldorfer Firma Carsch & Co. das Unternehmen als Filiale und ließ um 1927 das Haus von dem Frankfurter Architekten Willi Cohn modern umgestalten. Carsch wurde wie Robinsohn, Wronker und Tietz später zwangsweise „arisiert“. Das Frankfurter Carsch-Haus wurde zu Ott & Heinemann.
  • Im Mittelgrund an der Südseite der Zeil stand das Kaufhaus Wronker als größtes Warenhaus der Stadt mit einer 80 Meter breiten Straßenfront, 1908–1909 erbaut durch den Düsseldorfer Architekten Otto Engler

  • Wohn- und Geschäftshaus „Zum Kaiser Karl“ (angeschnitten), wegen Wilhelm Steinhausens Büsten der Planeten an der Fassade im Frankfurter Volksmund „Fratzeneck“ genannt; erbaut 1882–1883 von Simon Ravenstein (Eckhaus zur Großen Eschersheimer Gasse)
  • Geschäftshaus mit Verlag und Buchhandlung Franz Benjamin Auffarth (Dachreklame), erbaut 1902 vom Architekten Otto Sturm (* 1865) an der Stelle des traditionsreichen Café Milani
  • Geschäftshaus Frank & Baer, 1904 von den Frankfurter Architekten Josef Rindsfüßer und Martin Kühn
