Summary

Description
English: Fragments of a tabernacle tower, originally in the Croziers Church (Kruisherenkerk) in Maastricht, the Netherlands, now part of the LGOG collection in Bonnefantenmuseum (external depot). The tabernacle was ordered in 1561 by the Croziers (or Crutched Friars) from the Liège sculptor Guillaume de Jockeu. The 10 meters tall monument was destroyed at some point, perhaps after the dissolution of the monastery in 1796 (during the French occupation). Some fragments were buried underneath the church floor where they were discovered in 1914. The photographs date from that period.
