DescriptionFormer Sidings to Southerham Works Pit - geograph.org.uk - 761831.jpg
English: Former Sidings to Southerham Works Pit Leaving the Coastway East line at the point where the current A27 by-pass bridges this line is the last of the extensive sidings that serviced the liekilns and later the cement works of the pit whose prominent cliffs are obscured by the trees. These survive as they are cemented into a service road that leads to Southerham Grey Pit which is south of the A27. Southerham Works Pit is now occupied by Cliffe Industrial Estate.
