Summary

Description
English: Forbidden zone beyond Trecwn This is the northernmost end of the massive security fence around the perimeter of the former RNAD munitions store at Trecwn, a few miles south of Fishguard. Although the depot was decommissioned in 1998 the entire Trecwn valley remains out of bounds to the general public. A series of private companies has bought and sold the land, in one case with the intention of storing nuclear waste in the underground tunnels that remain. Local protests put paid to that idea (for the time being at least), but the facility has still not been put to use.
