Прямоугольное двухстороннее полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, составленное из двух частей красного и голубого цвета, разделённых узкой белой волнистой полосой шириной 1/30 ширины полотнища, при этом ширина красной части относится к ширине голубой части как 7/3. На полотнище изображены фигуры из герба Хакасского района: две зелёные горы, между которыми встаёт жёлтое солнце, а в центре — поверх гор, белой полоски и голубого поля — жёлтый якорь
