Purpose of use	Main infobox. The album cover is used to identify the album and visually differ it from other albums in case of the same name, but it's also used as a part of the album's aesthetic and identity. IN this case, it is to be used in the main infobox to show the visual part of the album respectively.
Replaceable?	As it is an album cover, I feel that free content ABSOLUTELY cannot replace this cover as it would lose part of the meaning that this cover conveys and that there is no actual substitute to this cover. Therefore, it complies with the United States copyright law, Wikipedia's non-free content criteria and the fair use doctrine.
