Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Vought F4U-4 Corsair from Fighter Squadron 44 (VF-44) "Hornets" taking off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Boxer (CVA-21) for a strike into North Korea in June of 1953. VF-44 was assigned to Air Task Group 1 (ATG-1) aboard the Boxer for a deployment to Korea and the Western Pacific from 30 March to 28 November 1953.
