English: 1 MERCIAN battlegroup digging in, using the battlegroup’s engineer asset, a Challenger Armoured Repair Recovery Vehicle (CRARRV), seen here on exercise Saif Sareea 3 in the Barakat Training Area, Oman.

During Exercise Saif Sareea 3, Arabic for "Swift Sword 3", UK military personnel trained with Omani Forces. The exercise involved around 5500 UK military personnel and, the joint exercise with Omani Forces, the largest training activity by UK armed forces in the region for nearly 20 years.
