Description
English: Figueres-Vilafant station under construction on the w:LGV Perpignan–Figueres high-speed line, 2 kilometres west of Figueres centre. Starting on 2010-12-19 double-decker w:SNCF TGV Duplex trains operate directly from here to w:Paris-Gare de Lyon. At Figueres-Vilafant where a cross-platform change is provided onto a local w:variable gauge train into Barcelona.

Deutsch: Bahnhof Figueras-Vilafant im Bau, Richtung Norden, im Hintergrund das Südportal des Figuerastunnels. Das stumpf endende Bahnsteiggleis 5 wurde für die vorläufige Inbetriebnahme der Schnellfahrstrecke zwischen Perpignan und Figueras in Breitspur verlegt, es wurde zwischen 2010 und 2013 durch die Anschlusszüge »enlace internacional« von und nach Barcelona Sants genutzt. Nach der durchgehenden Inbetriebnahme der Schnellfahrstrecke im Januar 2013 wurden die Schienen in die Regelspurposition umgesetzt und das Gleis beidseitig in das Regelspurnetz eingebunden. Ein direkter Anschluss zum Breitspurnetz ist seitdem in Figueras-Vilafant nicht mehr möglich.
