Español: Escudo del municipio de Hatonuevo, La Guajira (Colombia):[1]
El escudo de armas del municipio de Hatonuevo, esta elaborado sobre un fondo azul, con dimensiones de 120 cm. de alto, por 100 cm. de ancho. En la parte de arriba encontramos un listón con la divisa DIGNIDAD Y TRABAJO. Debajo de esta se observa la fecha 1840. El cuerpo del escudo se encuentra soportado por dos pares de lanzas cruzadas en sotuer. El cuerpo del escudo presenta un ribete de color blanco y en su parte interna se destaca en: 1. EL JEFE: en fondo azul oscuro tres cuarto de un sol naciente con nueve rayos de luz, en la parte baja del jefe encontramos la divisa MPIO. DE HATONUEVO 1994. 2. LA FAJA: se observa en el fondo un complejo montañoso bajo un cielo azul, le precede una extensa sabana de verde pastizal y un rió que viene en proyección desde el fondo hasta el frente de la faja; se destaca en al parte delantera un ejemplar bovino al margen derecho del rió y un ejemplar caprino al margen izquierdo. 3. LA PUNTA: en un fondo azul cielo y una planicie de color tierra, se destaca un montículo de carbón.
