Español: Escudo del municipio de Francisco Pizarro (Salahonda) (Nariño). "Descripcion: Es ovalado entrecruzado por la parte de atrás por un trozo de madera y un haz de arroz, con tres franjas de igual dimensión con los colores AZUL, NEGRO Y VERDE, en un orden de afuera hacia adentro, además en su parte superior llevará el nombre del municipio y su fecha de creación . En la parte inferior llevara el lema de TIERRA DE PAZ Y LIBERTAD su interior lo conforma unos ramales, el mar, un potrillo y en su interior estará un guasa, un cununo, una red llena de peces, un tambor y unas maracas, en su orden de izquierda a derecha. Representacion: Su forma ovalada representa la eternidad, un espacio de paz y libertad, el logro obtenido mediante la constancia y dedicación de sus habitantes y la esperanza de un progreso lleno de solidaridad y equidad. Las franjas que conforman el círculo ovalado representan la bandera y sus colores. Los ramales: representan el Rio Patía con sus desembocaduras al mar cruzando de oriente a occidente el territorio que conforma el municipio de Francisco Pizarro. El potrillo: se constituye en nuestro medio de transporte, el guasa, el cununo, el tambor y las maracas representan la cultura y la música autóctona de nuestra región, la Red una actividad diaria y los peces el sustento diario de nuestra gente. Los sostén del escudo: Trozo de madera: Representa la explotación de la riqueza forestal como fuente de ingreso. El haz de arroz: considera la riqueza agrícola y potencialidad de mejoramiento de nuestra economía. El nombre del municipio: su ubicación representa la idiosincrasia de un pueblo constituido como un remanso de paz y la fecha representa su fundación. Lema: Tierra de Paz y Libertad: Tierra: territorio de tranquilidad, remanso oasis. Paz: el privilegio de la vida. Libertad: oportunidad de expresar nuestras ideas.
