Description

Landing van Duitse parachutisten in de Tedingerbroek-polder, Oost van ‘s-Gravenhage. Foto rond 4 uur 's ochtends. De foto is genomen vanuit de woning van H. Lamme (voorzitter van de Nederlandse Bond van Foto Journalisten), op de 2e verdieping, aan de Helenastraat 2 te Den Haag, richting Ypenburg. Op de zijn drie Junkers Ju-52 transportvliegtuigen zichtbaar, parachutisten en het voormalige bosbad aan de Amalia van Solmstraat 38 in Den Haag. Er is door de sectie G 8 van de Legerhistorie in 1948 onderzoek gedaan naar de echtheid van de foto.

Door het niet geheel uit ontwikkelen van de foto zijn scherpe omlijningen om de parachutes gekomen, waardoor het lijkt of deze werden bijgetekend. De foto bleek echt te zijn, niet samengesteld en niet bijgetekend. De foto is kort na de meidagen van 1940 uitgegeven als herinneringsfoto. Twee van deze vliegtuigen werden getroffen. Nummer één stortte neer in de Tweede Adelheidstraat. Nummer twee maakte een crash in het Haagse Bos. Op het V.U.C. terrein was de 164e Bt. Lua gelegen. Deze eenheid was verantwoordelijk was voor het neerschieten van twee van de drie Ju-52’s. [1]
