English: Interior of William R. Dowse House, located southwest of Comstock in Custer County, Nebraska. The sod house was built in 1900, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is now open as a museum. The photo was taken from the added back (west) room, through a doorway into the south-central room. The open door in the back wall leads to a recently-added enclosed porch; the exterior window at right faces south.
