Summary

Description	English: "Donegal, one of the many famous places I've only seen from space." – Caption by astronaut Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station. This is one of a set of eight pictures of Ireland taken from earth orbit that were posted on the internet by Hadfield to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in 2013. This view of Donegal Bay on the west coast of Ireland, surrounded by County Donegal to the north and County Sligo to the south, shows the mountains of Ben Bulben and Truskmore in Sligo at the bottom left of the picture. The River Erne emerges from Lower Lough Erne at the bottom right and flows into the Atlantic Ocean at Ballyshannon.
