Known for its big trees, Oregon boasts one giant that stands high above the others: the Doerner Fir. Managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Oregon’s Coast Range, the mighty Doerner Fir is the world’s tallest Douglas-fir – a towering 99.67 m (327 feet) tall, 3.5 m (11.5 feet) in diameter, and over 450 years old.
