Description
English: Dixon's Almshouses, Christleton The attractive grade II listed Dixon's Almshouses in Christleton, built in 1867–68 to provide homes for poor and needy people of the parish. The elegant timber-framed buildings were commissioned by Mary Anne Dixon of Littleton Old Hall in memory of her son James and designed by John Oldrid Scott, younger son of the famous architect Sir George Gilbert Scott.
