| Description | A gold badge 2 43/64 inches (6.79 cm) in height overall consisting of a bar and pendant. The bar is 15/32 inch (1.19 cm) in height and 1 1/2 inches (3.81 cm) in width, upon which is superimposed a shield of stars and stripes with the letters "U.S. ARMY" thereon. The pendant is a gold shield shape 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height and 1 3/64 inches (2.66 cm) in width, in the center is an enameled target between the words "DISTINGUISHED" and "PISTOL SHOT." |
