ไทย: ฉากจำลองเหตุการณ์การปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของทหารเรือไทยในการรบที่เกาะช้าง เมื่อวันที่ 17 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2484 จัดแสดงที่อาคารอนุสรณ์สถานแห่งชาติ ตำบลคูคต อำเภอลำลูกกา จังหวัดปทุมธานี
ฉากจำลองเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว แสดงภาพความยากลำบากในการควบคุมเรือหลวงธนบุรี เนื่องจากระหว่างปฏิบัติการรบนั้น ได้มีระเบิดจากเครื่องบินรบทิ้งลงมาใส่หอบังคับการเรือ ระเบิดลูกนั้นได้ทำให้นาวาเอก หลวงพร้อมวีระพันธ์ (พร้อม วีระพันธ์) ผู้บังคับการเรือหลวงธนบุรี เสียชีวิตทันที มีนายทหารเสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บสาหัสหลายนาย ส่งผลให้การบังคับบัญชา สื่อสาร และควบคุมหยุดชะงัก ระบบถือท้ายเสียหายบังคับทิศทางไม่ได้ ทำให้เรือแล่นหมุนวนไปมา นอกจากนี้ยังทำให้ระบบป้อมปืนไม่ทำงาน ทหารฝ่ายไทยต้องใช้วิธีการหมุนป้อมปืนด้วยมือเอง การยิงโต้ตอบของเรือหลวงธนบุรีจึงเป็นไปอย่างยากลำบากยิ่ง |
