Summary

Description
English: A diamond knife blade used for cutting sections for transmission electron microscopy. A diamond cutting edge is used as very thin (typically 70 to 350 nm) sections have to be cut from cells embedded in a hard substrate (such as epoxy resin). The diamond knife is mounted into an ultramicrotome for the cutting process.
